This tube is part of the larger "Lacerta Molecular Cloud". It dimly reflects the light of the surrounding stars. But a faint red glow can be seen at its northern end. This Extended Red Emission (ERE) is caused by photoluminescence of the dust in the cloud. It might be caused by energetic far-ultraviolet photons (FUV) absorbed by the dust which emits the energy in the red spectral region.
The cloud reminds me of CG4 in Puppis.
