On a small plateau below the main summit the domes of the PROMPT-array can be seen.

 

RASICAM is a automatic all-sky-camera which looks for disturbing airplanes and contrails warning the crew of the 4-m-Blanco-telescope, in case they could interfere with its field of view.

 

Under this cover the mirror of the camera is hidden during daylight.
