NGC 5906 got famous because of a Pro-Am-campaign to search and image dim tidal tails and starstreams as the results of galaxy mergers.
A supposedly double starstream was discovered in this galaxy, but no one was able to reproduce it in this form.
Honestly even the single star stream that actually exists is spectacular enough.
Unfortunately, the original raw data of the supposed discovery have been lost, so the source of the second loop can no longer be determined.
With a bit more than 9 hours I managed to capture a very faint image of the single star stream.
