Ever since I shot this galaxy in 2009 with the 13-inch this image waited for it's completion. As the 13-inch is no longer used for photography the 10-inch Newton had to fulfil this task.

Remarks: 5.5 mag-sky, no wind, +14°C, after the moon set until the break of dawn.
The supernova outshines the galaxy's core.
The week before I had the pleasure to observe NGC 4088 plus supernova with a wonderful 20" Dobson during the annual ITV.
