NGC 346 is a star forming region in the Small Magellanic Cloud.
Already on the trip to La Réunion together with my astro-buddy Ben I marveled at these gigantic star clusters, immersed in thick bubbles of ionized oxygen and hydrogen, viewing them in my 13"-Dobson. I wondered what forces are at work there so that we can see them over the distance to the SMC.
As the STL11000 has no O3-filter, Pedro Borja was so kind to provide a series of O3-frames taken with the Riccardi-Honders.
