M96 together with M105, NGC 3371 and NGC 3389 compose a nice group of galaxies in the constellation Lion. Close beside them lies the nice spiral M95, which belongs to the group too, but it just did not make it on the chip.
It was quite difficult to achieve colourbalance. Green dominated heavily, presumably caused by the full moon on the 27th of April.
With the help of the Pixinsight-process "Photometric Color Calibration" neutral and pleasing hues for background and galaxies were achieved.
