Remarks: this image was acquired shortly before dawn after a photometric series of the RR-Lyrae-star XZ Cyg.
After a goto and a 10 second-exposure nothing was seen. Because of the lack of time I simply started three longer exposures - and there it was.
The dwarf galaxy IC10 is a satellite of our milkyway. We look right through the spiral arm in Cassiopeia so IC10 is heavily obscured and reddened because of gas and dust lying in the galaxy plane. One dustband can be clearly discerned and the whole object appears „mottled“.
I was eager to learn what larger optics and more exposure time would show.

Autoguiding-trouble and really bad collimation prevented a much better image of this galaxy with the 13". This has to get better in the next Cassiopeia-season.
