This image is the „first light“ with the new 10Micron-mount GM 1000 HPS and the 10" f4-TS FotoNewton.
Several attempts to achieve a photographic result with the new equipment on the terrace or mobile in Presberg failed because always clouds rolled in just in time after setting up.
The club's smaller mount was out of order so I used the opportunity to mount the 1000 HPS on the free pier. After polar alignment and a FocusMax-training of the new optics some Hα-frames could be gathered despite low altitude and thick cirrus-clouds. I'm quite happy with the result in spite of the mediocre conditions.
