NGC 7331 is without doubt my favourate galaxy. Observing it visually as well as photographically is a wonderful experience, especially with the 400mm f/5 Newton (aka „the White Elephant“). Data for this image was gathered partly together with members of the AAR, during a training in remote-control. Data from 2021 and 2022 were used.
The smaller galaxies left of 7331 (NGC 7336, 7335, 7340 and 7337) do not belong to it, but are 6.5 further away in the background.
An image with the 10"-Newton shows NGC 7331 together with the Stephans Quintet-group (NGC 7317, 7318A/B and 7319).
