When I was still a purely visual observer, these two dissimilar objects were among my favorite observation targets
Immersed in the myriad stars on the edge of the Scutum Star Cloud the planetary IC1295 and the globular cluster NGC 6712 almost look like twins in my 13"-Dobson telescope with an UHC-filter: diffuse, almost identical brightness and size.
The beauty of the detailed colour image compensates for the lack of live impression,
