NGC 4216, 4206, and 4222 lie near the center of the Virgo Cluster. Two stellar streams (not visible in my image) and a large number of globular clusters suggest that NGC 4216 has destroyed and absorbed at least two small satellite galaxies.
These three galaxies exhibit few star-forming regions.
