The warped galaxy NGC 2146 is either the result of a merger with another galaxy or it was deformed gravitationally by NGC 2146A, upper left in the image.
The number of frames normally would have been enough for a bright galaxy, the result is a bit too dark. The session was hampered by high humidity and consequently dewing of the mirrors; there was not enough signal that came through.
