processing: MaximDL 6 and PixInsight 1.8

After an early heatwave, accompanied by a lot of Sahara-dust in the air, which did not allow any decent imaging, I tried again to image the large spiral galaxy M 101 and to produce a good astrophoto.

Guiding: Lodestar attached to a 61mm-finder,
focusing with Microtouch and FocusMax,
data acquired remotely using CCD-Commander and MaximDL 6,
calibration: MaximDL 6, processing: PixInsight 1.8

This image was produced in the comissioning phase of my remote observatory, when not everything worked flawlessly. In the middle of the night the connection failed and could not be resumed - but the mount had to be parked and the roof had to be closed. So I drove to the observatory and solved the problem. All of a sudden it is an advantage that the station is not the distance of a plane trip away.
